Christy Turlington shares rare snap boating with husband Ed Burns… ahead of the premiere of his Epix series Bridge and Tunnel

Supermodel Christy Turlington shared a rare snap of herself boating with her husband, Independent Spirit Award winner Ed Burns, on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old Every Mother Counts founder – who boasts 1.2M social media followers – captioned her Inaugural Day snap with a quote from the late Martin Luther King Jr.

‘Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.’

Christy’s post received glowing comments from her fellow ‘Big Six’ nineties supermodels Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista, as well as Bruce Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa.

It was 55-year-old Evangelista who famously told Vogue in 1990: ‘We have this expression, Christy and I. We don’t wake up for less than $10K a day.’

The married couple of 17 years starred in last fall’s campaign for Calvin Klein’s Eternity, a fragrance Turlington fronted when it originally launched in 1988.

‘It was really nice and, honestly now that the world is changing so much, looking back at the shoot, it was one of the last getaways we had. So I think I will hold it even more closely because of that,’ the NoCal native told Marie Claire UK last month.

‘I’m very much focused on the present and because it’s us now, it feels that much more meaningful and special. There’s so much great work from previous years but who we are now [as a couple] is where I want to be and that’s why it’s my favorite.’

Christy will next celebrate Ed’s 53rd birthday on January 29 alongside their 17-year-old daughter Grace and 14-year-old son Finn.

The genetically-blessed duo originally met at a Hamptons party back in 2000.

Burns wrote, directed, and acted in the six-episode dramedy series Bridge and Tunnel, about 1980s Long Island college grads, which premieres this Sunday on Epix.

‘I have a smaller supporting part in this one [as Jimmy’s (Sam Vartholomeos) father Artie],’ the native New Yorker told the New York Post on Tuesday.

‘Like the characters in this, I didn’t have any connections to anyone in the film or TV business and it seemed like an impossible dream. But my mom and dad were both supportive. So that’s really the one part from my experience that I pulled – the idea that Jimmy is in a home where the impossible is embraced.’
