Two favourite Australian snacks have been combined to create lamington waffles – delicate, fluffy waffles topped with chocolate and coconut.
The delicious and very Australian dessert comes in an eight-pack from baked goods brand Mrs Brunt’s.
According to the chefs behind the delicious creation they can be served with icecream, like waffles or as a tea-time snack with coffee or tea – like lamingtons.

They can be served hot or cold, according to the instructions on the back of the packet.
The brand boasts their product is made with fresh eggs and no artificial flavours. they also do a range of chocolate waffles, fresh egg waffles and cinnamon waffles.
The waffles are sold for $5.50 at selected grocery stores and the brand’s website.

The waffle-makers are not the first company to create a spin-off dessert using lamingtons as their inspiration.
Recently dessert king Adriano Zumbo created lamington-flavoured gelato for chain store Gelatissimo.
‘I wanted to pair fresh local ingredients with classic Australian treats that are loved by generations,’ the celebrity pâtissier said.
The salted caramel lamington unites a Dulce de Leche caramel and lamington gelato with a salted caramel lamington swirl and a sprinkling of coconut.

Icecream giant Messina also took the liberty to design a new dessert from the old Australian favourite as part of a limited series.
The delicious-looking take on one of Australia’s favourite desserts proved popular – with most of the stock sold out before it was released to the public.
With layers of sponge cake, jam, chocolate and coconut gelato, coconut mousse and raspberry gel, glazed in chocolate and dusted with coconut.
