Adam Densten broke down in tears on Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 30-year-old Gogglebox star was talking about his older sister, Kelly, who was born with a congenital heart defect, when he was overcome with emotion. 

And fans were quick to lend their support to the reality star, after he received a cool reception from his co-stars upon entering the jungle on Monday.

‘You BETTER have his back. Adam is a diamond,’ tweeted one viewer, while another added, ‘Oh my God Adam I’m gonna cry’.

Others were moved by Toni Pearen’s quick move to comfort Adam after she previously complained about his addition to the show.      

‘Awwww @tonipearen… You’re such a Mumma bear love her,’ tweeted one viewer, while another wrote simply, ‘Toni comforting Adam’.

Even Grant Denyer’s wife, Chezzi Denyer, admitted she’d been moved by the scene, tweeting: ‘That was a really sad but beautiful moment.’

Adam was asked about his chosen charity, HeartKids, revealing he chose it ‘for my sister’. 

‘So, she was born with a heart murmur, and so she’s got special needs. She still lives with Mum and Dad. Um, she’s pretty great,’ he said quietly.

Getting emotional, Adam spoke about how the 33-year-old was born with a congenital heart defect, before contracting viral meningitis. 

‘She almost passed away just after she was born. They didn’t think she’d walk or talk or anything, but she’s… I mean, she’s fine,’ he sobbed.

Toni then moved to wrap a comforting arm around Adam’s shoulders, and reassured him that he’s a ‘good brother’.  

'You could see how much his sister means to him, and you could see that he would do anything to take her pain away from her. It was beautiful,' said Toni

‘I think it was really important for Adam to be so honest,’ she later said.

Added Adam: ‘She’s probably better than we all deserve anyway.’
