It comes after Laura hit back after being warned about drinking Coca-Cola during her pregnancy due to ‘crazy additives’ in the drink on Sunday.

Laura posed with a can of the fizzy drink in a promotional post, coming in her ninth year of working with the corporation.

While many fans gushed over her snap, one follower issued a stark warning about the ingredients, to which she responded: ‘I have given up alcohol, let me enjoy a can of coke as a treat every now and then. But like anything, moderation is key.’

Laura’s post was aimed to promote Coca-Cola’s Open To Better campaign, which urges participants to pledge to not take anything for granted.

Choosing her gal pals as her pledge, she wrote: ‘So delighted to be back working with @cocacolaeu for a new campaign #opentobetter I pledge to never take my gals for granted (I’ve even had it written on a can!)…

‘My girls are my glam squad, but they are so much more to me than that. These women have been my support through some of my toughest times and I owe them so much. I will never take your support for granted girls and I will always be there’.

Despite the positive message, one fan wrote: ‘Research has shown that drinking a can of Coca-Cola can have damaging effects on the body within an hour. Ur a fab lady Laura but this is a big no no. Crazy additives in there. Nope.’

Another fan pointed out that celebrities’ ‘Ad’ posts were growing excessive while also insisting the brand was ‘bad for you’ so should not be plugged.

The follower penned: ‘Everyone is bad at the #ads hate them so much. Worst thing about Instagram’ coke must be down sales there are few adding for this brand. Coke of all things to #ad super bad for all levels of you…

‘Clean a penny to shine what does it do to human?? I am sorry but I don’t like Ads esp ads that are bad for people or people treated badly in the making of garments. #pethate #ad #wholikesads #yawn #rantover’.

Laura replied by defending her collaboration and insisted she only works with brands she is proud of and also lines up with Advertising Standard Agency rules.

She wrote: ‘Using #ad is important to make clear what brands you work for. Not everyone does this but it’s important for transparency…

‘I only work with brands I really like (been working with Coca Cola since 2012 and they sponsored the Olympics and the tv show I hosted) Usually working with brands is an ongoing relationship. So the posts that dont have #ad and should are the bigger issue. Hope that’s makes sense’.
