‘After just using vitamins, we finally got ivermectin and a Z pack. That was the first time things started moving in the right direction. Dr wants blood tests and X-rays but can’t do this if you are COVID positive unless you are in ER,’ she said.

Tammin went on to say: ‘There is only one hospital in Austin that is accepting COVID patients because there is no room. So now have to figure out how to get him there without exposing the kids and myself.’

‘He can’t drive so this is where we are as of now. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support,’ she ended.

Tammin tearfully announced that her husband, film producer Sean, had contracted coronavirus on Wednesday.

In an emotional Instagram post, the heartbroken mother of two said she was ‘scared’ of what could happen to her family as she quarantines with her daughters in Texas.

‘My husband has Covid and I’m scared. Today I’m not as scared as yesterday, but yesterday I felt very out of control,’ she said.

‘It was rough and touch and go. All the hospitals are full and his fever of 103 wouldn’t break for days and it got to a very scary place,’ she added.

Tammin, 37, explained that she and her daughters, Phoenix, six, and Lennon, two, have tested negative and aren’t showing symptoms. However, they’ve been quarantining together and following Covid-19 guidelines to stay safe.

‘We have been in the same place in Austin for two months now. Haven’t seen friends and family, haven’t eaten out, [Phoenix] is homeschooled,’ she said.

‘The only place we could have got it is the grocery store [because] we haven’t been near anyone and the whole family is always masked.

‘Covid is real. It’s scary and I now see it first hand. I’ve been really scared and in a dark place… I’m struggling and I love you all and this community.’

The former Home and Away star finished by urging people to ‘please wear a mask’, before saying: ‘This is not something you want to get.’

Tammin met her husband in 2007, when she was auditioning for his film Albino Farm. The couple married in 2011 in Florence, Italy.
