Newly engaged Sophie Monk shows off her beach body as she promotes sunscreen

Only hours before announcing her engagement to Joshua Gross on Friday, Sophie Monk shared her new ad for Neutrogena sunscreen on Instagram.

The clever video showed a swimsuit-clad Sophie, 41, turning on the charm while sitting on the sand at the beach.

As she began to apply the sunscreen to her arms, the Love Island host’s cheerful demeanour began to subside.  

‘How am I meant to promote a sunscreen that doesn’t feel like a sunscreen?’ she complained, before throwing the tube down in annoyance.

Talking to someone off-camera, she added: ‘It’s invisible, guys. I can’t sell this.’

Another scene showed Sophie skipping along the sand in a yellow floral print dress, before someone off-camera began to apply sunscreen to her arms. 

‘I know this is meant to be lightweight, but this is ridiculous…’ she whined.

Sophie also showed off her toned midriff in a pair of yellow and grey patterned exercise tights and a matching cropped sports top.  

‘Guys, I can’t get a greasy glow. This sunscreen’s too matte. It rubs straight in… Hand me my highlighter,’ she complained.

And after being forced to repeatedly run up a flight of stairs, an out-of-breath Sophie finally had enough. 

‘Guys, I’m exhausted. Get another influencer… I’m taking these with me. They’re too good,’ she said, before walking off-camera with a couple of sunscreens.

Also on Friday, Sophie announced her engagement to Josh, 42, sharing a happy photo of him kissing her cheek as she cradled his face.  

‘Told you I’d tell you guys first. I’m engaged. I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the love and support,’ she captioned the post. 

‘I know I have the coolest people following me and you’ve always had my back and I feel so cared about. You’re absolute bloody legends. I’m not very good at being mushy. I’m trying to say I absolutely adore you.’

She added: ‘@joshuargross and I are so happy.’
