Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby predicts Myleene Klass will win the show

‘That’s my insider tip’: Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby predicts Myleene Klass will win the show due to her ‘musicality’ and skill as a performer

Holly Willoughby predicts Myleene Klass will win Dancing On Ice due to her ‘musicality’ and skill as a performer.

The host, 39, believes classically trained Myleene, 42, will go all the way in the competition and bets she can beat the likes of fellow contestants Denise Van Outen, 46, Jason Donavon, 52, and Rebekah Vardy, 38.

In a new interview, Holly, who presents Dancing On Ice alongside her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield, 58, was open in sharing her ‘insider tip.’

‘She is going to fall in love with it’: Holly Willoughby predicts Myleene Klass will win Dancing On Ice due to her ‘musicality’ and skill as a performer

When discussing who she believes will win the series this year, Holly said: ‘I’m going to go Myleene.

‘I think she has musicality because obviously she is a musician. She is a performer anyway and I just – I think she is going to fall in love with it.

‘That’s my little insider tip. Based on nothing by the way! But that’s my insider tip.’

Dancing On Ice judge Christopher Dean, 62, insisted that he and Jayne Torvill, 63, had to remain impartial with their predictions but they will make a note of who they believe will win in secret and share their views at the end of the series.

When probed on who he believes will win the show, having seen them all skate in training, Christopher said: ‘We can’t say that now, no way.

‘We will write it down on a piece of paper and hand it in to each other and we will open it up at the end of the series.’

Dancing On Ice this year features a new element to the show, where the judges can award one of the contestants with a ‘golden ticket’ that means they will avoid the first pubic vote.

Christopher explained: ‘There is a golden ticket situation with the first few episodes.

‘The judges will give the opportunity for one of the celebrities to be out of the public vote based on their performance so there is everything to skate for.’

In a recent interview, comedian Rufus Hound, 41, insisted the reason he signed up to the dance show was to get back into work after losing out on jobs due to the pandemic – and ultimately for the money.

But Christopher reckons Rufus has started to enjoy dancing on ice and that he could be a dark horse of the competition.

He said: ‘Rufus says that and it may have been the driving force to begin with but he has the bit beneath his teeth now and I think he’s really starting to take on the challenge and enjoy it.

‘Secretly under this bravado of ‘it’s just for the money’ he wants to do really well. He brings a lot of character to the ice as well.’

  • Dancing On Ice, starts on Sunday 17th January at 6pm on ITV
