Former Married At First Sight star Michael Goonan has offered an explanation after fans accused him of ‘doing some lines’ in a hotel room.
The 30-year-old shared a video to Instagram stories on Wednesday, while enjoying a getaway with his friends.
While giving his followers a tour of the penthouse suite, Michael’s friend can be seen placing several items on a table.

The businessman was then forced to explain the pair weren’t ‘doing lines’ but were drinking milk shots.
‘FYI that’s what was going on in the background. Though I don’t know what’s worse. I’d probably rather be accused of lines,’ he wrote adding a laughing emoji.
Michael’s post comes after he revealed the truth about his wealth in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.
The 30-year-old defended himself and insisted he never inherited a cent from his wealthy family.

‘I’ve worked my a**e off for every dollar I have ever made,’ he said. ‘I’ve never had a handout in my life and have never been granted anything for free.’
As well as insisting he’s worked for every dollar he’s ever earned, he added that the fact he has siblings with equal claims to the family fortune means he was never guaranteed an inheritance on a silver platter.
‘It would be unfair for one of us to inherit something without the other. I never inherited anything,’ Michael said.

The couple dated for five months before calling it quits in July 2019.
