Kate Langbroek returns to radio and replaces Bec Judd on KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up after her ‘intense’ quarantine with her family of six following their return from a two-year stint in Italy

Kate Langbroek is set to join Monty Diamond and Yumi Styles on KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up, in the coming weeks.

But it appears that the radio host is already back in the studio after undergoing an ‘intense’ hotel quarantine following her return from a two-year stint in Italy.

On Thursday, the 55-year-old made a guest appearance the Network’s morning show Jase & PJ and the drive show, Will & Woody.

Posting to Instagram, Kate shared a Story from the network that read: ‘Kate is in the studio’.

Alongside the caption was a short clip that featured the media personality putting on her headphones ahead of recording.

She dressed casually for the recording in denim overalls with a floral shirt and she swept her long brunette locks off her face with a pink bandanna.

Last month Kate was in a mandatory hotel quarantine with her husband and their four children in Melbourne after returning from a two-year stint in one of the worst countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Italy.

But on Christmas Eve, Kate revealed the group were finally free from lockdown – as she captioned a beaming picture of the family with: ‘When negative is a positive…’

She added the caption: ‘six do quarantine’ and ‘Christmas, here we come.’

Kate and her husband of 17 years, Peter Lewis, returned to Australia at the start of the month after relocating to Bologna, Italy, with their four children – Lewis, Sunday, Artie and Jan – in January 2019.

When the gang were halfway through their quarantine in the middle of December, Kate spoke out about her experience during an interview with The Project.

‘It’s really, very intense to have six people together in a very small space with not even a window that you can open,’ she candidly said.

‘The only consolation is you can yell at the kids as loud as you want. No one will come!’ Kate joked.

‘You can do whatever you want. No one is breaching the security of that front door. They’ll just leave you to it,’ she added.
