Home and Away star Sophie Dillman details her relationship with co-star Patrick O’Connor

She is dating her on-screen boyfriend on Home And Away in real-life. 

And on Monday, Sophie Dillman spoke candidly about her relationship with co-star Patrick O’Connor, who plays Dean Thompson on the soap opera. 

She said the pair have managed to strike a pleasant balance between their personal and professional lives. 

The couple, aged 27 and 28 respectively, have known each other for eight years and even went to the same acting school in Queensland. 

‘We were work buddies first, and it’s helped us work well together now, so we’re lucky in that regard,’  Sophie explained to TV Week.

‘We are best mates and treat each other like that, but it’s also made our relationship stronger starting out that way.’

Patrick added his relationship with the blonde bombshell was ‘pretty chilled’.

‘We get spotted by fans if we go out as a couple, but it [fame as a couple] hasn’t changed too much,’ he told the publication.

Sophie and Patrick have been going out since meeting on the Channel Seven drama.

It is unclear when things became serious between the two.

Sophie has been a cast member for slightly longer than Patrick, having portrayed Ziggy since June 2017.

Patrick, on the other hand, joined the Home And Away cast in 2018.

In the beginning, their characters did not get along. However, over time they became close friends, and eventually, lovers.

Similarly, Sophie and Patrick’s romantic relationship seems to have blossomed from a friendship.
