Dancing With The Stars pro Lindsay Arnold faces criticism for taking a vacation with her son and husband during the pandemic

She has been featured as a contestant on the competition series Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance.

And on Tuesday, Lindsay Arnold was met with criticism for posting a series of photos to her Instagram account from a recent vacation with her husband and their baby daughter.

In the photos, the 26-year-old dancer sported a black bikini as she relaxed on a beautiful beach during a picturesque sunset.

Criticism: Dancing With The Stars pro Lindsay Arnold was met with hostility from some of her Instagram followers after posting a set of photos from her recent vacation on Tuesday

The dancer was pictured wearing a black bikini top with a matching bottom, and opted for minimal jewelry for the vacation snap.

She also allowed her gorgeous blonde hair to fall down onto her shoulders for the photoshoot.

While many of the performer’s followers reacted positively to the shot, a significant number of them openly questioned why she was taking a vacation with her family in the midst of a global pandemic.

One wrote: ‘Lindsay I don’t know if you know this but we’re in a still in a global pandemic.’

Pointed words: Many of the comments were targeted at the lack of precautions that the dancer had taken in going on a trip with her husband and their daughter

No love: One of the comments for the photos questioned if the performer was aware that the coronavirus pandemic has not become any less serious in recent months

Another followed up with: ‘i love you SO much, and please please please don’t take this as hate, but traveling right now and going on “vacation” is so insensitive when the country is literally at its worst with covid cases.’

A separate responder posed the blunt question: ‘Ummm why are you traveling??’

The following day, the dancer took to her Instagram story to address the negative comments that had been made with a set of selfies.

Both approaches: One person attempted to offer constructive criticism to the dancer and informed her of the insensitivity that she had apparently displayed in taking a vacation

In the caption for the first selfie, she partially wrote: ‘This is my thumbs up to everyone out there who actually thinks it’s okay to comment or criticize on anyone else’s parenting.’

Arnold continued: ‘I am FAR from perfect believe me you don’t need to remind me of that but why don’t we use our energy and words to be encouraging instead of always looking for the negative and finding things to criticize.’

‘If that’s what you want to do on Instagram please unfollow me and leave my kind and loving followers alone,’ she concluded.

She followed that up with a smiling selfie where she addressed the followers that had responded kindly to her initial post.

Letting them know: On Wednesday, the So You Think You Can Dance contestant responded with a selfie posted to her Instagram story where she asked those who criticized her to unfollow her and not comment about her parenting skills
