And this week, Davina McCall and Rita Ora team up to become TV’s latest detective duo as they combine their skills in a bid to identify the mystery singers.

Dynamic duo: The third installment of The Masked Singer UK on Saturday will see Davina McCall and Rita Ora team up to become TV’s latest detective duo

Saturday’s episode will see host Joel Dommett comment on Davina’s commitment to guessing the masked singers, noting how she carefully listens and writes notes.

He says that she is ‘really good at listening and you write it all down. Whereas Rita is more like blaaaah.’

Giving his verdict on the ladies, Jonathan Ross remarks: ‘The two of you would make a good detective team on a new ITV series like Rosemary and Thyme.

‘McCall and Ora – one comes in forensic, the other one – as Joel said – blaaaaah.’

Impressed by the new nickname, Rita excitedly exclaims: ‘McCall and Ora! Wooooo’, before TV’s latest detective duo high five each other through their perspex divider.

Meanwhile, Sausage has pulled out all the stops to impress in the third show of the series as she updates her newspaper wrappings to show a new headline that will be sure to intimidate her rivals.

This week her newspaper headline reads ‘Sausage Batters Badger’, which is a reference to the singing battle between the two characters in the very first show which saw her triumph over Badger.

Alongside Sausage and Badger – who was saved by the panel on the first show – characters including Robin, Swan and Dragon will take to the stage and battle it out to earn another week on the show.

It comes after week’s show which saw Spice Girl Mel B unveiled as the Seahorse.

The singer, 45, recently joked that it was her ‘bubble butt’ which gave her identity away after three of the four judges correctly guessed it was her.

Mel originally feared her Yorkshire accent would give her away, as she attempted to throw the judges off the scent by singing differently to usual.

But she has since joked that her ‘bubble butt’ and the way that she moved on stage gave her identity away.

She told The Sun: ‘My bubble butt gave it away. And the way that I was moving gave it away too.

‘I mean, I move like how I move. So when the nerves hit, even though you’re not meant to move like yourself, you do. It’s like character acting, like method acting.’

The star had performed Kylie Minogue’s hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head on the show and, after she was revealed, Mel admitted she had tried to disguise herself by changing her voice and the way she sang.

Judges Davina, Mo Gilligan and Rita correctly identified her, while fourth judge Jonathan was adamant it wasn’t her.

He said he had ‘heard Mel singing up close’ before and instead guessed it could be chat show host Trisha Goddard.

After being unmasked, Mel said: ‘I thought I disguised myself pretty well with my voice and accent and trying not to be like me. I’m very shocked that you guessed me.’

Asked by host Joel Dommett what the other Spice Girls would think of her appearance on the show, Mel said: ‘They’ll probably be annoyed I didn’t tell them!’
