Ted Danson gushes over his wife of 25 years Mary Steenburgen: ‘We delight in each other’

Ted Danson celebrated 25 years of marriage with Mary Steenburgen last year, and he’s still just as in love with her as when they first met.

Danson, 73, met Steenburgen, 67, first met on the set of their film Pontiac Moon in 1993, and they were married in October 1995.

While promoting his new TV series Mr. Mayor, alongside Holly Hunter, with Entertainment Tonight, he gushed over his beloved wife.

‘I’m in love. We’re in love. That handles a lot. We make each other laugh. I admire her. If I could be a woman, I’d want to be her,’ he said.

‘We delight in each other. And we’re pretty disciplined about being celebratory of what we have,’ he added.

‘You know, she’s the worst line runner for our show ’cause she has hysterics and laughs,” Danson explained.

‘It takes forever for me to learn anything because she insists on doing all of Holly’s lines, you know, ’cause she thinks they’re so funny. So, she’s terrible at that,’ she added.

Steenburgen recently spoke about her relationship with Danson in an earlier interview, where she similarly gushed about her husband.

‘I would sign up for many more lifetimes with this one. I’m very blessed. I’m pretty obsessed with him, actually,’ she said.

Both interviews come just months after they celebrated their 25th anniversary back in early October, which Steenburgen celebrated on Instagram.

‘Happy 25th Anniversary! This was SUPPOSED to be a sweet loving anniversary photo but you have a big piece of salad in your teeth. So there it is,’ she began.

‘Thank you for making me laugh today and every single one of the last 9,125 days,’ the actress added.

‘You are the goofiest, wisest, kindest, dreamboat in the world. True, that is a big ass piece of salad but even that doesn’t mar your legendary beauty,’ she joked.

‘I can’t believe how lucky I am. Happy Anniversary, Ted. Love, Mary,’ the actress concluded.

Steenburgen and Danson’s silver anniversary comes just weeks after Mary’s son Charlie McDowell (with her first husband Malcolm McDowell), got engaged to girlfriend Lily Collins.
