Her album Folklore became the first album of 2020 to sell a million copies.

And on Tuesday, Rolling Stone declared that Taylor Swift’s eighth studio album is also the biggest of 2020.

Released in July, the outlet calculated Folklore had sold the equivalent of 2.3 million album-equivalent units, making it number one on Rolling Stone‘s Year-End Top 200 Albums Chart.

With Folklore, Swift broke Whitney Houston’s longstanding record for having an album spend the most weeks at the number one position on the Billboard 200.

It kept the top spot for six consecutive weeks and has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammys.

Folklore’s lead single has also been nominated for the Grammy for Song of the Year. 

The singer delighted fans when she confirmed that boyfriend Joe Alwyn co-wrote a few songs on Folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery.
