Alison, who is set to takeover from Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes Friday slot, was presenting a pre-recorded segment about famous stars who live in Beverley Hills.

During the tour, the presenter arrived outside Denzel’s house and tried her luck at trying to reunite with the actor once more.

She said: ‘I know Denzel Washington, I was just wondering if I could go and say hi. Is he in?’

Alison asked the security guard if he could call Denzel, who refused her request.

Showing mock annoyance, she said: ‘Ugh top security. He won’t let me in. He won’t even call him.

‘If he knew it was me he would have literally opened the gates.’

It comes as Alison is set to present her first show since taking over Ruth and Eamonn Friday slot with Dermot O’Leary.

After the married presenting duo fought back tears during their final Friday show on This Morning last month, Alison took to Twitter to share a sweet message.

The presenter tweeted: ‘A class above the rest @EamonnHolmes @RuthieeL,’ followed by a heart emoji.

At the time, it was reported Alison is in duty of care meetings after racist trolling over her replacing Eamonn and Ruth on This Morning.

The TV presenter is said to be struggling to cope with the ‘vitriol’ she has been receiving online and it has prompted the channel to step in to ensure she is ‘staying positive’.

MailOnline contacted representatives for ITV and Alison for comment at the time.
