Married At First Sight’s Seb Guilhaus has survived a terrifying car malfunction that left him fearing for his life.
The 31-year-old fitness trainer left fans horrified on Sunday when he uploaded several Instagram photos showing the charred remains of his burnt-out Ford Falcon sitting on the side of a road late last month.
‘So I had a fairly traumatic experience… I was driving 95km/hr and suddenly spouts of smoke entered the cabin just behind my drivers seat,’ the boyfriend of Elizabeth Sobinoff began his caption.

‘I quickly pulled over and jumped out… 2 seconds later the inside of the car began to set alight… I had just filled the car with fuel and had watched too many movies, So assumed I was about to be blown to pieces,’ he continued.
Unfortunately, Seb’s car was filled with thousands of dollars worth of equipment needed to film his online fitness videos, including a computer and lights.
‘After about a minute and in a panic I realised that some precious things were in the car…. I sprinted, assuming the car was about to blow, grabbed my camera, my phone and bag with I.D. and odd bits and bobs, leaving the rest,’ he wrote.

Luckily, a good samaritan soon came to the rescue.
‘A gallant knight driving a huge truck literally jumped out , grabbed a fire extinguisher and tried to stop the ravenous flames from eating the car and the brush on the side of the road. It was too late,’ Seb lamented.
Seb went on to admit he didn’t have comprehensive car insurance, meaning that the fire damage may not be covered by his insurer.

Tragically, Seb also lost almost all of the equipment he needed to run his fitness business.
’10K of assets eaten’, he lamented, before adding: ‘but thank god I was unharmed’.
Seb then revealed that several of his fitness clients had generously donated $2,000 to help him replace the lost equipment.

In true Seb style, the reality star ended his caption with a tongue-in-cheek sales pitch about his destroyed car.
‘If anyone wants to buy a Falcon, it’s on sale now… ‘super hot ride’, ‘really burns down the freeway’ has been gutted for weight reduction… a hug or near offer,’ he joked.
