Sophie Monk has never been shy in poking fun at herself.
And this was the case on Friday when the singer and model shared a hilarious video on her Instagram page for New Year’s Day.
The 41-year-old told a friend on the phone that she’s limiting herself to ‘one glass’ of alcohol in 2021, before drinking from a comically large champagne flute.

Dressed in a chic black ensemble and standing inside her kitchen, Sophie was overheard saying on the phone: ‘Nah, New Year, New Me! I’m only having one glass.’
The former Bardot star then picked up a comically large champagne flute and proceeded to take several generous sips of the fizzy booze.
‘What are your New Years Resolutions????’ Sophie captioned the post, alongside champagne and winking face emojis.

The hilarious video comes just weeks after the blonde beauty adamantly shut down rumours that she was engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Joshua Gross.
In several posts on Instagram, the Love Island host insisted she’s not walking down the aisle anytime soon.
Sharing screenshots of the many reports that emerged after Woman’s Day claimed the couple was engaged in November, Sophie promised her fans she’s not.

‘Promise I’m not engaged… as if I wouldn’t tell you guys straight away,’ she wrote, before adding, ‘Hand on heart… I’m not.’
She added: ‘PROMISE I’M NOT. I’d Insta live if I was.’
According to Woman’s Day, a source close to the couple said they got engaged in November.

Joshua, 42, was said to have whisked Sophie away for a romantic trip to Sydney before finally dropping down on one knee.
‘Josh picked up the ring in Sydney last week and then surprised her by popping the question,’ the insider said.
Back in July, Sophie admitted she was hoping Joshua would propose, sharing a telling message on Instagram for their two-year anniversary.
‘Promise I’m not engaged… as if I wouldn’t tell you guys straight away,’ she wrote, before adding, ‘Hand on heart… I’m not’
‘Happy anniversary @joshuargross, I can’t believe you’ve put up with me for 2 years,’ she wrote.
‘I love you so much and you’re my best friend in the world… I can’t wait to marry you (hint hint)’.
Speaking about marriage during a previous interview with The Daily Telegraph, Sophie confessed: ‘I am pushing every day.’
