Pregnant Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell will welcome their first child, a daughter, in coming weeks.
And on Friday, the former professional wakeboarder revealed he is well and truly ready for the year ahead as he prepares to become a father.
The 24-year-old gushed about his family as he reflected on the past year, which he said was ‘filled with the highest of highs and lowest of lows.’

In the Instagram post, he shared a photo of himself with Bindi holding up a baby-sized Australia Zoo uniform shirt.
‘As easy as it is to look back on the hardships of this year, I’m choosing to revel in the highlights,’ he wrote.
‘I married my best friend, and our daughter will be joining us in a few short months.’

Bindi, who is believed to be around 27 weeks pregnant, also shared a moving message of gratitude as she prepares to give birth.
Earlier this week, she shared a photo of herself cuddled up Chandler and their dog, Piggy the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
