Phoebe Burgess has looked back at the ‘positives’ of 2020 despite her difficult year amid her heartbreaking split from her NRL star ex-husband, Sam Burgess.
Alongside a photo album shared to Instagram, showing lovely moments she shared with children at her parents’ Bowral estate, the 31-year-old looked at the ‘joy’ she felt last year.
She wrote in the caption: ‘2020 was all about paring it back, finding joy in simplicity and each other.’

Phoebe added: ‘Sure, it was a global s**t show, but when I look back there was growth everywhere.
‘The last two images show how we started 2021 – together. I hope there were positives in your 2020 journeys too. Happy New Year everyone’.
On Tuesday night, Phoebe took part in a viral challenge in which fans on Instagram ask to see images from certain times of her life – sharing her ‘break-up album’ amid her divorce.

After one follower requested to see a picture of what brought her ‘happiness after heartbreak’, Phoebe shared a snap of herself alongside her children, Poppy, three, and Billy, two, and simply wrote: ‘Them’.
The image showed Phoebe beaming while lying on the ground with her two giggling children, whom she shares with Sam.
She was also asked to post a photo of her ‘happy place’, and responded by sharing a picture of herself kissing one of her children’s foreheads while holding them tight.
Phoebe went on: ‘The last two images show how we started 2021 – together. I hope there were positives in your 2020 journeys too. Happy New Year everyone’

Hours earlier, the former WAG had said her ‘happiest memory’ was ‘knowing, even at the s**ttiest times in life, that we are capable of feeling unbridled joy’.
Phoebe was also asked to post a picture of herself at her ‘lowest when nobody knew’. She then shared a shot of herself while pregnant with Billy and holding Poppy.
Sam and Phoebe separated in September last year, and finalised their divorce in April this year.

At the time, The Daily Telegraph reported Phoebe had walked away with 70 per cent of the former couple’s marital wealth, including an F45 gym bought in the names of Sam Burgess and her older sister Jemima’s husband Gene Fairbanks in 2015.
She has since sold the gym.
The former journalist, who now promotes herself as a brand ambassador, also kept a $100,000 Range Rover which she is regularly seen driving around Bowral.

In June, Phoebe became emotional while discussing the harsh realities of life as a single mother on The Morning Show.
‘There’s not makeup every day, it’s not glam being a single mum,’ she told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
‘I do have help [from] their grandparents. My parents are amazing,’ Phoebe said, appearing to hold back tears.
The influencer explained that she tries to be honest with her followers about life as a single parent, insisting: ‘I don’t like to portray a perfect scenario. It’s not perfect.’
