Ex-NRL star Todd Carney proposes to former Married At First Sight star Susie Bradley as they reveal the gender of their first child together
Todd Carney, 34, has proposed to Married At First Sight star girlfriend, Susie Bradley, 27.
The controversial footballer showed off his romantic side on New Year’s Eve as he pulled a ring from his pants after the couple did a gender reveal.
In a clip that he shared to Instagram, Todd was initially given a football to kick which revealed a puff of blue chalk to show the couple are having a boy.

Todd then surprised the cosmetic nurse as he pulled an engagement ring from his shorts and bent down on one knee in front of her.
‘I got something else exciting too,’ Todd said, as he reached into his pants.
‘Since it’s going to be a little boy it’s only fitting we all have the same name,’ he added. ‘Will you marry me?’

The couple confirmed the pregnancy in the post by showing the test stick and a photo of the pair looking loved-up.

‘We all have dreams and in 2020 all mine have come true. 2021 my greatest gift Is going to happen with a little todd on the way and I’ll marry my best friend,’ he wrote.
Unconfirmed reports the couple were expecting their first child surfaced earlier this month when NRL player Mitchell Pearce let slip that Todd would be a father.
Speaking on the 257 Collection podcast, he was asked to describe his top three NRL players of all time.

After heaping praise on his former Newcastle Knights teammate, Mitchell said: ‘[Todd Carney’s] going well now, he’s killing it, having a baby and everything he’s on fire.’
Susie subsequently confirmed the pregnancy herself last week.
She excitedly wrote: ‘Our hearts are full, Christmas will be sweet. Our family is growing by one heart and two feet. Baby boy Carney due March 2021.’

The couple also hinted they were engaged but had not made an official public announcement up until now.
Susie and Todd have had a tumultuous relationship ever since getting together back in January 2019.
The couple first separated in October after eight months of dating, but their breakup proved to be short-lived.

Since then, they have split and got back together several times. Their most recent reconciliation was in December last year.
Susie rose to fame after appearing on the fifth season of Married At First Sight, which was filmed in late 2018.
She married Billy Vincent, but they failed to find love with each other and eventually split up before the finale.
