Lucy Watson has hit back at a fan that asked if she’s pregnant in a comment the Made In Chelsea star deemed as ‘socially unacceptable.’

In a new Instagram post, Lucy displayed her slim figure in a white bikini top and shorts while tying a striped, loose cover up around her stomach.

The picture prompted one user to comment ‘Pregnant?’ which wasn’t well received by Lucy, 29, who’s currently on holiday with sister Tiffany, 27, in Barbados. 

Replying directly to the fan’s comment, Lucy said: ‘Seriously?’ before taking to her Instagram Stories with more of her view on the matter.

She said: ‘It is not and will never be socially acceptable to ask someone if they are pregnant, whether you know them or not. You are basically telling that person they look bigger. Please stop.’

A few other fans commented in defence of Lucy, saying ‘I have never seen someone look less pregnant’ and ‘such a backhanded way of body shaming.’ 

Lucy, who’s engaged to marry James Dunmore after he popped the question in September, is also in Barbados with his wife-to-be.

Made In Chelsea stars Lucy and Tiffany jetted out to Barbados prior to London being plunged into Tier 4 and celebrated their Christmas on the idyllic island.

Lucy was cautious in posting holiday content to her 1.2million followers and asked their views in advance of sharing her trip with fans, to avoid seeming insensitive.

On Wednesday, the family was pictured enjoying a day out on a catamaran, with the sisters baring their incredible bodies onboard. 

Lucy’s fiancé James was also present, with the two seen applying suntan lotion and lapping up the warm weather and sunshine ahead of New Year’s Eve.

Lucy and James met in 2015 on Made In Chelsea and later left the E4 series to protect their relationship.

Prior to finding love with James, Lucy had failed romances with Chelsea womanisers Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews, both 32.

In September, James proposed in Greece, with Lucy announcing the happy news by sharing a picture of the pair snuggled up together in front of a sunset alongside the caption: ‘Here’s to forever.’ 

Revealing some details of their future wedding plans, Lucy said: ‘We just want it to be fun with our friends and family present. Currently we plan on getting married next year but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if that is possible!’
