Farmer Wants a Wife: Sam Reitano announces he is expecting a child

Farmer Wants a Wife star Sam Reitano has announced he is expecting a baby with his fiancée Katelen Cunningham.

Sam, 28, shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, posting a picture of the child’s sonogram.

‘Myself and Katelen are happy to announce we will be expecting a lil’ farmer in August 2021,’ he captioned the post.

According to the date on the sonogram picture, the couple went for the scan on Thursday morning. 

Fans were thrilled by the news, flocking to the comments section to congratulate the expectant couple.

Sam shocked fans of the Channel Seven dating show by revealing his engagement to Katelen in August. 

The announcement came just days after he’d seemingly found love with another woman, Kirsten Loverie, in the season finale of Farmer Wants a Wife, which was filmed several months earlier.

Sam introduced Kirsten in the reunion episode, saying: ‘She liked one of my videos that was posted for the show, and we got in contact with each other.’ 

It’s unclear when Sam parted ways with Kirsten, but he revealed on Instagram that he and Katelen met shortly after the reunion was filmed at the start of the year. 

‘I would like to say that Katelen is my fiancée! I am over the moon about her,’ he wrote.

‘After the reunion, which was at the beginning of the year, I met her. Don’t know if it was my grandfather saving me for that someone special or maybe it was just good luck.

‘Whatever it was I’ve never been so grateful and so happy to have her in my life,’ he added. 

Since announcing the engagement, Sam has shared a number of loved-up photos with Katelen on his Instagram account.
