BIP stars Mary Viturino and Conor Canning reveal the gender of their unborn baby with a sonogram

Bachelor in Paradise stars Mary Viturino and Conor Canning are due to welcome their first child together in the coming months.

And on New Year’s Eve [Thursday], the happy couple revealed the gender of their unborn baby to fans.

Mary, who is already a proud mother to six-year-old daughter Chanel from a previous relationship, shared the joyful news to her Instagram page with a sonogram.   

‘We had such a great year together. Next year is going to be even more amazing,’ Mary, 32, wrote alongside a series of sweet family pictures.

With Mary and Chanel wearing pink, and Conor opting for lilac, the outing appeared to signify a gender reveal as Mary wrote: ‘It’s a girl!’   

‘Wishing all of you a Happy New Year! Lots of blessings and love to you all,’ she continued, adding the hashtags ‘babygirl’ and ‘itsagirl’. 

In another slide, Mary also shared the first sonogram of her little girl, but hinted the couple hadn’t yet settled on a name.

Mary was glowing in October when the pair chose to announce their pregnancy with a growing baby bump photo.  

‘I know I haven’t been active lately, so I’m happy to finally be able to share the news that me and Conor are having a baby next year,’ Mary wrote at the time. 

Conor, 30, looked casual in a pair of denim jeans and a navy floral button up shirt as he cradled Mary’s child Chanel in his arms. 

Mary’s daughter, who is no doubt excited to become a big sister, looked sweet in a pair of jeans and a white jumper for the announcement.

Shortly after the couple made the announcement, they were inundated with well wishes from a number of their fellow Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise co-stars.

‘AHHHHHHH!!!! SO BLOODY HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS!’ Alisha Aitken-Radburn wrote, before her boyfriend Glenn Smith added: ‘Omg omg omg omg omg. So excited and happy for you guys!!!!!!’

Mary’s Bachelor co-star, Emma Roche also joined the chorus of well-wishes writing: ‘Huuuuuuge congratulations!!!’

Meanwhile, Cassandra Mamone commented: ‘Woop woop what a tough little secret. Congratulations to you’. 

Mary and Conor met on the third season of Channel 10’s dating show, Bachelor In Paradise.

The pair have since gone from strength to strength, with Mary moving to Hobart with her daughter, to be closer to Conor. 

In August, Conor told The Mercury the couple are ‘loving life’ in the Tasmanian city.

‘[Bachelor in Paradise] was incredible. I had a rollercoaster of a time and ended up meeting Mary, so I couldn’t ask for more,’ he said.

‘Mary and her daughter Chanel are settled in Hobart now and loving life. It has been touching to see how invested so many people were with the relationship.’
