There’s no doubt about it, 2020 was a challenging year for many of us.
But for fitness mogul Tammy Hembrow, the year that brought bushfires and the Covid-19 was also one filled with romance.
The businesswoman, 26, revealed on Thursday she’ll always remember 2020 because it was when she met her boyfriend, Matt Poole.

She posted a photo of herself kissing the Ironman and surf lifesaver, and noted that 2020 was not all that bad as it was the year ‘she fell in love’.
The pair have been spending their first Christmas together, alongside Tammy’s two children from her previous relationship with Reece Hawkins.
‘I was planning on Sydney for Christmas, but I can’t complain. Thank you for making it special. Merry Christmas everyone,’ Matt, 32, wrote on social media this week.

The couple, who had previously kept their romance a well-guarded secret, went public when they were spotted kissing at Brisbane Airport in September.
After brief flings with a string of rappers, Tammy seems to have finally found happiness with Matt, who owns the Maman Bar and Kitchen restaurant on the Gold Coast.
The influencer made her first appearance on Matt’s Instagram account in a group photo shared in late August.

However, she didn’t post a photo of her boyfriend until several months later.
Earlier this month, Tammy shared a sweet photo to Instagram of herself and Matt with her children, Wolf, five, and Saskia, three.
All four were dressed in festive-themed pyjamas next to their Christmas tree.

Tammy, who is the founder of activewear label Saski Collection, captioned the photo: ‘It’s almost Christmas and my heart is so full.’
The couple’s romantic display comes after Matt made his debut on Tammy’s YouTube channel in September.
The pair, who met at an event in Bali last year, revealed in the video who had said ‘I love you’ first.

‘I did. I am obsessed,’ Matt admitted.
Tammy then explained how Matt had confessed his feelings after they’d ‘had a little fight’ on their holiday in the Whitsundays in September.
‘We had a little fight over nothing, and then when he was trying to make up with me and apologise, he told me he loved me,’ she said with a smile.
