Busy Philipps wears a face covering as she steps out with husband Marc Silverstein… after revealing she almost left him over ‘parenting duties’

Busy Philipps ensured she stayed safe while stepping out for supplies with husband Marc Silverstein in New York on Monday.

The couple protected themselves with face coverings as they made their way across a sidewalk in the usually bustling city as it enters another week of tough restrictions in the fight against COVID-19.

On a chilly day in the Big Apple, Busy, 41, stayed warm beneath a thick quilted winter coat while walking alongside her filmmaker husband.

She added to her understated look with a casual orange sweater, while blue jeans and white leather boots rounded things off.

Joining his wife, Marc, 49, looked equally relaxed in a blue hooded coat, matching jeans and Chelsea boots.

In 2019 Busy revealed that she almost left the filmmaker after parenting issues regarding their two girls, Cricket Pearl, six, and Birdie Leigh, 11, reached breaking point.

She told Harper’s Bazaar: ‘Marc was like, “I’ll do anything.” And I was like, “Okay, then do everything. Because I have done it all, all by myself, and I’m done, dude.”

‘I was fully out the door. I wasn’t expecting anything from him, but what we ended up doing was creating our own system.’

‘That’s when she said he ‘made the call’ that he would be ‘staying home with the kids’ and gained a whole slew of new tasks such as meal prepping and helping Birdie into her bedtime routine.

‘He now loves his mornings with the girls,’ she revealed about their new system.

‘He’ll make my Bulletproof coffee and bring it into the bedroom while I’m still sleeping, and then leave to take the kids to school. He has conversations with them that I’m jealous of. The closeness he now has with these girls, it’s really special.

‘Sometimes I’ve wondered about Marc taking over Birdie’s bedtime. I’ve thought to myself, “Is this the right thing for her?”‘ she added. ‘But I’m not going to call him out on what I think is right or wrong because he’s doing it!’
