Jessica Chastain has revealed she is looking to set up her grandmother Marilyn during an upcoming appearance on Thursday’s The Graham Norton Show.

The Oscar nominated actress, 43, who launched a lockdown cooking series with her beloved grandmother said she was determined to find the right man for her. 

Speaking from New York, she said: ‘She’s an amazing person, but I still haven’t found her a man. She’s a total catch and I’ve been posting pictures of her exercising with me – she is very fit!’

Asked about her lockdown series Cooking with Grandma she said: ‘We were bored out of our minds, so we started cooking together, which was really fun. 

‘Because she makes me laugh so much, I just started filming her.’

Jessica was appearing on the show in support of her new spy thriller, The 355.   

Asked about the postponement of the film’s release, she said: ‘At the end of the day it wasn’t a very difficult decision to make because I value everyone’s safety so much.

‘I was conflicted about asking people to get into large groups and go to the theatre when there is a pandemic, so I am very happy to be patient and to wait until it is safe to be around each other.’    

Jessica is currently working on the HBO adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 series Scenes From A Marriage.

She stepped into the role in late October after actress Michelle Williams bowed out of the project due to scheduling issues.

Chastain will act opposite Oscar Isaac in the piece, which they will both executive produce, according to Variety. 

The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One on December 31 at 10.25pm.
