Pregnant Bindi Irwin and her family celebrate Christmas with matching festive sweaters

The countdown is well and truly on for Bindi Irwin to give birth.

And on Friday, the Wildlife Warrior and her husband Chandler Powell, 24, celebrated their last Christmas together before they welcome their daughter in the New Year.

Posting several photos of the festivities to Instagram, pregnant Bindi, 22, revealed that the couple spent the day in Christmas sweaters with her mother Terri and brother Robert.  

‘Happy Holidays from our Australia Zoo family to yours,’ she captioned the image. 

In the image, the family are all smiles as they cuddle up in matching festive green sweaters featuring native Australian animals. 

Bindi was glowing as she styled her long brunette loose and kept her makeup natural, opting for a touch of blush and mascara. 

She also shared an adorable picture of a present adorned with a card sweetly addressed to ‘Bindi and Chandler and Baby.’

‘Our first family Christmas card from my beautiful mama. So much love,’ she captioned the photo. 

Meanwhile, Chandler, 24, shared a sweet photo of the couple, their dog, Piggy, and a curlew bird to his own Instagram account. 

‘Merry Christmas from our little family (including Emily the curlew…),’ he captioned the photo. 

In the image the soon-to-be parents posed in the outback beside a decorated tree as Bindi covered her growing stomach with the dog. 

She kept her ensemble simple in jeans and a black T-shirt, while Chandler opted for shorts and a green patterned shirt. 

Bindi and Chandler, 24, are set to welcome their first child – a daughter – in 2021. 

On Tuesday, Bindi revealed that she’s now at the end of her second trimester and is 26 weeks pregnant.

She shared a sweet picture of herself cradling her baby bump on Instagram as she gushed about her unborn daughter: ‘Oh how I love you.’ 

She added: ’26 weeks tomorrow.’ 

Bindi revealed she was pregnant in August, when she uploaded a photo to Instagram of herself and Chandler holding a tiny version of the Australia Zoo uniform.

‘Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting,’ she wrote.

The couple were married on March 25 in a makeshift ceremony at Australia Zoo, just before the country went into COVID-19 lockdown.
