Kate Mara has been keeping busy promoting her controversial new Hulu miniseries A Teacher.

But the Emmy nominee is enjoying some quality family time as she prepares to celebrate the holidays.

She masked up Wednesday in a casual athleisure look, as she stepped out with her one-year-old daughter to check the mail and take a stroll through their Los Angeles neighborhood.

The 37-year-old layered a red flannel shirt over a black Adidas t-shirt with black joggers and gold checkered slip-on sandals.

She welcomed her first child last May with husband Jamie Bell, 34, whom she married in 2017, after meeting on the set of their 2015 superhero film Fantastic Four.

Mara told Us Weekly back in October about juggling work and motherhood: ‘I find it quite easy to switch it on and off.

‘Thank God, because as a new mom when you have a baby on your boob screaming in the trailer, and then you’ve got to go pretend to be sexy, it’s kind of a complete nightmare.’

She also explained how becoming a mother influenced her decision to star in her latest series A Teacher, which premiered last month.

The House of Cards actress said: ‘Eventually she’s going to be able to look at the work I’ve done. And now more than ever, I want it to mean something and for there to be a point to it.

‘Sometimes you do just have to work for money. Sometimes you’re lucky enough that you can make choices based on more than that.’

The native New Yorker told The Wrap of the controversial show: ‘Some people are definitely going to feel uncomfortable watching the show. It wasn’t something that we made thinking that it would be a super-easy watch. Comfortable is not the word we were going for.’

Mara added: ‘I don’t think you normally see the story told from this perspective or this point of view. It was one of the reasons why I was excited to tell it…

‘And I think it’s because it isn’t something that people necessarily want to talk about. The fact that it’s a female doing the abuse and being the groomer and all of these things I think is also something that is rarely discussed.’
