EXCLUSIVE: Lleyton Hewitt is spotted doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in Melbourne as he looks at children’s pyjamas

Lleyton Hewitt joined the hordes of Christmas shoppers on Chapel Street in Melbourne on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old former tennis ace was spotted looking at some children’s pyjamas as he squeezed in some last minute shopping.

He seemed determined to keep a low profile, keeping a charcoal grey baseball cap on his head.

The former world number one also wore a grey marle T-shirt, black shorts, and grey and black sneakers.

He was seen chatting with a sales assistant as he inspected a pair of Bluey pyjamas, based on the hit children’s cartoon TV show.

Lleyton is a father of three with his wife of 15 years, former Home and Away actress Bec Hewitt.

Appearing to have left the store empty-handed, Lleyton chatted on his phone as he stepped out onto the street.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Lleyton and his family had relocated to Sydney from their home in Toorak.

But it was only a temporary move to ‘escape’ coronavirus restrictions in the Victorian capital, reported the Herald Sun.

The confirmation came after New Idea reported that Bec was hoping to move to Sydney’s northern beaches, where she grew up.

The magazine claimed that being back on familiar territory would help with a career comeback, as Home and Away is filmed less than an hour away in Palm Beach.

This doesn’t seem to be the case though, as Bec and Lleyton have firm roots in Toorak, where they bought a $12.7million property in April 2017.

While it’s unclear where the Hewitts were staying in Sydney, they were spotted looking at properties in Barangaroo several months ago.

Bec left Channel Seven’s Home and Away shortly after marrying tennis champion Lleyton in a ceremony at Taronga Zoo.
