The singer, 37, who sent fans wild by uploading a funny recording of her three-year-old’s voice earlier this month, declared the festive season is her ‘favourite time of the year’ as she shared a rare insight into her typical Christmas with her ex Liam Payne.

During the rare interview, which was recorded before the announcement of the nation’s revised coronavirus restrictions, the musician revealed she planned to spend the celebration with the 1D star, 27, and also praised his ‘good’ cooking skills.

The former X Factor judge briefly touched on her love for December 25 before her mini-me sweetly interrupted her discussion to say hello to songstress Jessie, 36, and her mother Helena.

‘Are you being cheeky’, the podcaster asked, to which Bear replied: ‘Yeah!’

Cheryl was keen to showcase her little one’s singing skills as the duo belted out the lyrics to Jingle Bells.

When quizzed about whether he’ll follow in the footsteps of his famous parents, the youngster shyly said: ‘Hmmmm’, before his grandmother Joan Callaghan presented him with some hot chocolate.

Fight For This Love hitmaker Cheryl went on to give a glimpse of Christmas at her £3.7m Buckinghamshire mansion, which she moved into last March and was partially paid for by her former partner Liam.

The media personality said: ‘It’ll probably just be me, my mum and Liam. My mam makes a great roast, and Liam normally does the meat on Christmas. He’s really good at it actually and puts his all into it.

‘[We watch] Home alone the movie. Both. I always play them back to back. I love it. I think it’s because it reminds me of when I was a kid. I love mulled wine.

‘I love everybody to wear the same PJs on Christmas eve night… This year we’re going to have Disney ones.’

It is unclear whether the friendly exes still plan on meeting up for the celebratory occasion following UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s U-turn on COVID-19 limits.

London, where Liam lives with fiancée Maya Henry, and Buckinghamshire, moved into England’s new Tier Four system last week.

As of 20 December, those living in a Tier 4 region, can only travel internationally – or within the UK – if they have a legally permitted reason to leave.

The celebrities, who dated for two and a half years, have been happily co-parenting since their split in June 2018.

A spokesperson for Cheryl declined to comment on her plans. MailOnline has also contacted a representative for Liam.

The mother-of-one also revealed Bear’s list for Santa Claus, and admitted he’s been receiving gifts from loved ones ‘each month’ due to the past nationwide lockdowns.

She explained: ‘He wants a Spiderman bike, which is very doable. He also wants Paw Patrol stuff.

‘You know what’s crazy? Because his birthday was in March during lockdown, I feel like Christmas has been every month because people have either sent his gift or brought it when they could. Every month someone has brought him something for his birthday!’

On her favourite gifts and the meaning of the Yuletide period, the former Girls Aloud member explained: ‘I kind of like everything. Because it comes from somebody’s heart, even if it’s not something you want. I might have re-gifted some things.

‘It’s my favourite time of year. I think it’s family isn’t it. It’s nostalgia. It’s closeness. I feel like the energy of the world gets peaceful and it doesn’t do that any other time of the year. It always feels like an up day for me.

‘And boxing day, I like. It’s peaceful, but then I can’t stand the first week in January. There’s build up build up build up from October all the way to Christmas, then it just pops into a stillness.’

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Cheryl’s luxurious abode was purchased in part by Liam, according to the title deeds for the property.

The title deeds for the house state that one of the two lenders was the boyband member – listed as Liam James Payne – as well as the bank Accord Mortgages Ltd, a subsidiary of Yorkshire Building Society.

Meanwhile, the dancer is listed as the registered owner, under her full name Cheryl Ann Tweedy.

It is unclear whether the purchase was part of their split arrangement after she moved out of his home last year.

Cheryl and Bear continued to live at her former boyfriend’s £5.1m six-bedroom house in Woking, Surrey, for nine months after their break-up.

She then moved, alongside her son and her mother, to the three-storey property, which boasts four bedrooms with en suites on the first floor and a three on the second floor, as well as a study, morning room, family room and gym.

It’s thought that Liam, who is now engaged to 20-year-old model Maya Henry, hasn’t lived in his own Surrey property since they went their separate ways and listed the property for rent last year for £8k a week.

Last month, the Strip That Down artist said he and Cheryl agreed he should take some time ‘away’ from Bear during the first lockdown earlier this year.

The Heath Town native claimed it’s ‘not unusual’ for him to be ‘in and out’ of his child’s life as he told Tings magazine: ‘[Lockdown] it’s the longest I haven’t seen him [Bear] in his life.

‘But we discussed from the start and for different reasons, me and Cheryl decided I should be away for a little bit, it’s not unusual for me to be in and out of his life. He’s a quiet and chill child. He doesn’t worry about things too much.’
