The Project host Rachel Corbett is left BAFFLED by a bizarre shopping substitution after buying her groceries online
Buying your weekly shop online has never been easier – but Rachel Corbett has learned that sometimes grocery giants don’t always have your desired items in stock.
The Project host, 39, was left baffled this week by the bizarre substitutions she was sent by a major supermarket, after receiving multiple cans of baby corn she hadn’t ordered.
Taking to Instagram, she shared footage of seven Coles-branded baby born cans stacked in a pyramid tower.
Corn confusion: The Project star Rachel had no idea why Coles had sent her multiple baby corn cans in her home delivery.
Rachel couldn’t for the life of her work out which item on her shopping list wasn’t in stock, or why the team at Coles had substituted it for canned baby corn.
‘When you unpack your online shopping and you certainly didn’t order six cans of baby corn… but somehow you now have six cans of baby corn,’ she wrote.
She then offered her followers some of the canned goods, asking: ‘Anyone want some baby corn?’
Baby has corn! Rachel was so shocked by the amount of baby corn cans delivered from Coles, she almost lost count.
Later on her Instagram Stories, the former Big Brother star corrected herself, telling fans she’d in fact been given seven cans of corn, not six.
‘Damn all of you who can count.. I’m still trying to work out what I actually ordered that got replaced with seven… I repeat, seven… cans of baby corn,’ she wrote.
Rachel followed up her post with footage from a local supermarket with empty shelves ahead of Christmas, likely due to Covid-19 panic buyers.

‘Again? Seriously? Did I get seven cans of corn to replace the toilet paper you people are stockpiling,’ she captioned the video.
Rachel rose to fame on the inaugural season of Big Brother in 2001, but was one of the first contestants to be voted off.
She went on to forge a career in radio before diverting into television presenting.

A year later, she started work on The Project, where she is now employed as a regular panellist.
In an interview in 2009, Rachel admitted she was trying to distance herself from her reality TV past in a bid to further her career in TV and radio.

‘It’s part of my past that I’ve tried to distance myself from and have so far succeeded,’ she told Radio Info.
The presenter also admitted she no longer wanted to study law after leaving the Big Brother house.
‘I never for one moment thought about a career in entertainment either, I just knew I wanted to get out of law,’ she said.
