The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love unleashes on mask-wearing Santa

She’s the gorgeous former Bachelorette who recently bought a house with her partner Lee Elliott.

And on Tuesday, Georgia Love was seen indulging her festive spirit for her annual photo with Santa – and things didn’t quite go according to plan. 

In the image shared to Instagram, Georgia, 31, is seen beaming from ear to ear alongside her sister Katie, as the two sit socially distanced from Father Christmas.  

Meanwhile, the man himself is seen sitting alone on his throne wearing a patterned face mask, under a ‘2020’ sign.

‘It’s taken 32 years but finally Santa put his foot down and said we’re too old to sit on his lap,’ Georgia joked. ‘What a d***,’ the Channel 10 journalist added in the caption.  

The Love sister’s Christmas photo is an annual tradition for the siblings, but their set-up this year is a far cry from their usual poses with Santa due to COVID safety rules. 

Last year, Georgia and Katie sat on Santa’s lap for the festive photo. 

The Love sister’s pictured with Santa comes after Georgia and her fiancé Lee Elliot purchased their first home together.

On Monday, the couple announced the exciting news in a posts on both their Instagram accounts, sharing selfie with their pet cat Pawdrey Hepburn, and a bottle of Dom Pérignon. 

Mechanical plumber Lee, 38, joked on Instagram that he was finally an adult because he’d purchased real estate with his newsreader fiancée.

Georgia wrote in her caption: ‘Because launching two businesses and planning two weddings during a global pandemic wasn’t stressful, interesting or financially draining enough, we thought, ‘Why not buy a house too?” 

The pair, who met on The Bachelorette in 2016, were supposed to get married in Italy this year, but their plans had to change when international borders shut due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They then planned a ceremony closer to home, in Tasmania, but this also hasn’t come to fruition because of the Covid-19 situation in Australia.
