Teresa Palmer got all gooey on Tuesday as she celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with her husband Mark Webber.

The Australian actress shared the tweet that led to her marrying the American director.

Taking to her Instagram on Tuesday, the 34-year-old explained she had tagged the 40-year-old in post on Twitter after seeing The End of Love – a drama film he wrote and directed.

‘So I just happened to stumble upon @likemark film trailer for @endoflovemovie I was so moved! This will be a must see – check it out guys!’ she tweeted at the time. 

Mark replied: ‘@tez_palmer you’re super awesome! Thanks for the support, made my day!’

Their brief interaction was the start of what has been an eight-year romance and led to the pair writing letters to each other via email while on opposite sides of the US.

‘How it’s going vs how it started. 7 years down and forever to go. Yes, we met on Twitter, a true modern love story,’ Teresa captioned her most recent Instagram post which showed the tweet alongside a photo of the couple with two of their children.

‘Happy anniversary @markwebber and what a special one it was.’

Seven years of marriage later and the couple have three children – Bodhi Rain, six, Forest Sage, four, and 19-month-old Poet Lake.

Mark also has a 12-year-old son, Isaac, from a previous relationship. 

He previously admitted to Marie Claire magazine that the couple waited more than a month to meet in person.

‘We made a pact that we weren’t going to speak until we met each other in person [back in LA]… So for 40 days all we did was write,’ Mark told the publication in 2015.

He also admitted he knew he was in love with Teresa, and told her so via email, in less than five letters.

Mark and Teresa eventually met in 2012, before marrying in Mexico in 2013 while she was pregnant with their first child Bodhi.
