John Brennan, former CIA boss, believes there could be life beyond Earth

Former CIA boss John Brennan says it’s ‘presumptuous and arrogant’ to think humans are alone in the universe as he talks about recently declassified UFO videos

John Brennan has joined the list of prominent believers suggesting there may be life beyond the reaches of the Earth.

During a recent podcast appearance, the former director of the CIA made it clear that he’s not against the possibility of alien lifeforms existing.

‘Life is defined in many different ways,’ Brennan said during the December 16 episode of Conversations with Tyler. ‘I think it’s a bit presumptuous and arrogant for us to believe that there’s no other form of life anywhere in the entire universe.’

‘But I think some of the phenomena we’re going to be seeing continues to be unexplained and might, in fact, be some type of phenomenon that is the result of something that we don’t yet understand and that could involve some type of activity that some might say constitutes a different form of life,’ Brennan continued.

Brennan didn’t entirely commit to the idea of aliens existing, saying ‘I just want to leave my mind open as to what something might be, but who knows what these things might be?’

Still, his comments lend more credence to the belief that there may be life somewhere other than Earth.

In April, the Department of Defense unclassified details about three videos taken from 2004 to 2015, all capturing aerial objects that they were unable to explain.

‘I’ve seen some of those videos from Navy pilots, and I must tell you that they are quite eyebrow-raising when you look at them,’ Brennan said in regards to the Navy videos. ‘You try to ensure that you have as much data as possible in terms of visuals and also different types of maybe technical collection of sensors that you have at the time.’

Brennan did suggest that unusual weather patterns could explain the videos.

‘I believe, it’s important to reach out into other environments and find out, were there any type of weather phenomena at that time that might have, in fact, created the appearance of the phenomenon that you’re looking at?’

Brennan identifies as being agnostic, meaning that belief in God or the divine is unknowable for him.

He served as the director of the CIA throughout most of Barack Obama’s second term as president, leaving office upon Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Obama himself admitted to Stephen Colbert a few weeks ago that he had been briefed about UFO sightings in the past.

He would not, however, confirm or deny their existence or the content of those briefings.

Recently, a former Israeli space security chief made waves by saying there was a ‘galactic federation’ of extraterrestrials and Donald Trump was aware of it, according to NBC News.
