Taylor Swift unveils Instagram filter inspired by her rumored next single ‘Tis The D*mn Season

Her ninth studio album Evermore earned the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, following its surprise release on December 11.

And in wake of the success, Taylor Swift unveiled an Instagram filter inspired by her rumored next single ‘Tis The D*mn Season, which is featured on the new record.

‘First things first, we have this very cute filter that puts a tag on you and makes it snow around you,’ explained the singer-songwriter, 31, in an Instagram Story video.

She continued: ‘All of which are all VERY important factors of the d*mn season for the Tis The D*mn Season filter.’

Swift’s holiday-themed Instagram filter places a ‘snow-like’ effect over videos and pictures and features a gift tag with the song’s title written on it.

To model the quirky filter, the Mean singer a red button-up sweater and wore her curly blonde tresses down.

Keeping with her signature look, Taylor amplified her eyes with a bit of winged eyeliner. 

Still speaking to her 142million followers, Swift went on to tout the deluxe edition of Evermore, which features two ‘bonus tracks,’ Right Where You Left Me and It’s Time To Go.

‘Second, we have Evermore deluxe CD’s arriving in stores. Target and Amazon are the best places to get them right now, but there will be other stores soon,’ she explained.

The Grammy Award-winner stressed that she ‘cannot wait’ for her fans to hear the ‘two new songs.’

Evermore has been the talk of the town since it’s surprise release, which occurred less than five-months after the release of Swift’s critically acclaimed Folklore record.

With Everymore coming in at number one on the Billboard 200 Album Chart this week, Taylor has now garnered eight number one albums in her career.

Folklore also earned the top slot (and stayed their for eight weeks), which means the singer added two number one albums to her repertoire this year.

Evermore is considered Folklore’s ‘sister album,’ with Folklore representing the moods of ‘spring and summer’ and Evermore evoking feelings of fall and winter, as explained by Swift to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

Taylor, who was named Apple Music’s Songwriter Of The Year, partook in a remote interview with Lowe last week, where she opened up about her lockdown-induced songwriting renaissance.

‘One thing I wanted to do with Folklore is I wanted it to represent spring and summer. And when I made Evermore, I knew that I wanted to fill in the rest of the seasons of the year and have it reflect fall and winter,’ she said. 

Although nature played an important part in the creation of Evermore and its visuals, Taylor wanted to clarify that the album is not ‘all about like the forest and the woods and stuff.’

Adding that she chose to shoot all of the visual for her the album, including Folklore, in nature because ‘it was [simply] the easiest way that [she] could do a photo shoot’ amid a global pandemic.

Swift also gave Lowe some rare insight into her relationship with boyfriend Joe Alwyn, whom she shares a mutual love for sad songs with. 

Alwyn, 29, credited as William Bowery on the record, helped pen ‘Champagne Problems’, ‘Coney Island’ and ‘Evermore’ on her newest release, while they had previously teamed up on ‘Exile’ and ‘Betty’ for its predecessor ‘Folklore’. 

‘Joe and I really love sad songs. We’ve always bonded over music…We write the saddest [songs]. We just really love sad songs. What can I say? It was a surprise that we started writing together.

‘But in a way, it wasn’t because we have always bonded over music and had the same musical tastes. He’s always the person who’s showing me songs by artists and then they become my favorite songs.’
