Sydney Swans star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin and pregnant wife Jesinta buy luxury $790,000 beach pad on Queensland’s Gold Coast

Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin and wife Jesinta have purchased a luxury beach pad on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The Sydney Swans star, 33, and the pregnant model, 29, purchased the retreat at North Kirra – just four kilometres across the New South Wales border – this month.

The apartment is within the Lacey Group’s Southbreak development and is believed to have set the couple back $790,000, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

Southbreak features ocean views, a rooftop sanctuary – with a pool, lounge and barbecue area – and furnishings by interior designer Urban Edge.

Each of the 20 properties within group have an abundance of natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a shared balcony deck. 

The couple’s purchase is timely with their second child due early next year.

It also follows them quietly selling their home in Sydney’s Rose Bay for close to $4million in November, as well as buying a larger apartment nearby for $5million.

The pair had purchased their four-bedroom, three-bathroom property in 2014 for $2.35million, two years before tying the knot.  

They have reportedly upgraded to one of the largest garden apartments in Rose Bay’s luxury Carlisle development, which is due for completion in January. 

Jesinta and Buddy’s three-bedroom apartment is said to be much larger than the home they just sold.

The new address has an impressive 200 square metres of internal space and 200 square metres of external space.

The Franklins started dating in 2012 after Buddy sent her ‘a cheeky Inbox on Twitter’.

They married in the Blue Mountains in late 2016 and are parents to daughter Tullulah, who was born in February,
