Dancing with the Stars is set to return in 2021, and according to reports, it will feature an all-star line up.

The show was dropped by Channel Ten and will move to Channel Seven next year – and the network reportedly has big plans.

The Herald Sun claimed on Saturday that Daryl Somers, 69, who previously hosted the show between 2004 and 2007 alongside Sonia Kruger, 55, will return.

Possible appearances from notable former contestants such as Chris Hemsworth, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Nikki Webster and Pauline Hanson could be on the slate, too.

In October, Channel Ten confirmed that Dancing with the Stars will not be returning in 2021.

Dancing with the Stars originally aired from 2004 to 2015 on Channel Seven, before moving to Channel 10 in 2019 with new hosts Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller.

While it wasn’t a ratings flop for Channel Ten – its 2020 finale was watched by a respectable 635,000 viewers.

However the numbers didn’t justify the budget required to produce a weekly live broadcast complete with celebrity salaries.

TV Blackbox reported this week that Channel Seven bough the rights to air the show in 2021.
