Ant and Dec prank customers at a Costa Coffee drive-thru for hilarious skit

Ant and Dec prank customers at Costa Coffee during filming for a hilarious skit as they take over the drive-thru and serve fake drinks

They’re set to return to screens next week in the Britain’s Got Talent Christmas Special.

But Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly already appear to be in the midst of preparations for their series in 2021, as they became Costa Coffee staff to film a hilarious skit on Thursday.

The presenting duo were left in hysterics as they manned the drive-thru of the west London coffee shop, and proceeded to prank customers by serving them with fake drinks and spraying them with water.

During filming Ant and Dec donned a Costa uniform as they waited for customers to pull up to the drive-thru.

The pair couldn’t contain their laughter as they took their orders before presenting them with cups that were either cold or under-filled.

No doubt the customers were surprised to see the duo serving their morning latte, even if it ended up spilled all over the floor.

It’s likely the pair were filming scenes for the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway, which is currently due to begin early next year.

However they could also have been filming another skit for their Instagram, having entertained viewers with their socially-distanced sketches during lockdown.

Ant and Dec were reunited in September when filming for BGT resumed, and have since formed a cohort, meaning that as they’re tested regularly they are not required to distance from each other.

On Christmas Day Ant and Dec are set to host the first ever BGT Christmas Special, with contestants of years past taking to the stage for a spectacular showcase.

Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will appear on the judging panel alongside Ashley Banjo, however the show won’t be a competition.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a chaotic year and show bosses wanted to treat audiences to something extra-special.

‘It has never been done before and with Simon still recovering from his back injuries, it’s the perfect opportunity to get the judges singing, dancing and telling jokes for their suppers.

‘Luckily, there won’t be anyone behind the panel to feed back on their performances.’
