Olivia Bowen reveals she and Cara De La Hoyde ended their two-year rift

Olivia Bowen has revealed she and Cara De La Hoyde ended their bitter rift after realising ‘life is too short’.

Love Island personality Olivia, 26, stripped her former co-star, 30, of her bridesmaid title and had her wedding invite revoked as she struggled with trust issues amongst her inner circle at the time of her nuptials to husband Alex, 29, in 2018.

Two years on, the influencer has confirmed the friends have made amends after realising ‘life is too short’ amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Businesswoman Olivia said in this week’s new! magazine: ‘We talk to Scott [Thomas] and Nathan [Massey, Cara’s husband] and Cara. Tina [Stinnes] was my bridesmaid and she’s always been close to me.

‘It’s always nice for me and Cara and shown us that we are meant to be friends/ We realised that life was too short this year and for me that was such a positive.

‘We always check in with each other and it’s so nice to see her happy with Delilah [Cara’s four-month-old daughter]. It’s been lovely to put everything behind us.’

The TV star previously revealed the reason behind the pair’s strained friendship as she told OK! magazine at the time: ‘We were all so close.

‘For us both that was a really weird time and it exploded for no reason. I was getting married and had trust issues with everyone around me at that point.

‘She missed a few things and I didn’t see her for weeks and months on end, to the point where, when it came down to it, logistically it was impossible to get her dress fitted.’
