January Jones reveals her newest tattoo with a sweet message

She’s been a fan of tastefully minimalist tattoo designs for years.

And now January Jones has revealed her newest ink with a lovely message scrawled in cursive on her forearm.

The 42-year-old Mad Men star showed off the design, which reads, ‘love you more,’ on Instagram on Tuesday.

Lovely message: January Jones, 42, revealed her newest tattoo, a sweet design near her right wrist that read, ‘love you more’

January shared a closeup of her arm with the new tattoo, which appeared to be fresh based on the pink skin surrounding it.

She repeated the tattoo’s message in her caption, while adding a ‘thank you’ for the tattoo artist Winter Stone.

Stone is a popular inker among celebrities, with Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Mandy Moore and Emma Roberts all sporting his drawings, which are often minimal line drawings or text similar to January’s tattoo.

Lady Gaga sports one of his larger designs, a rose running down her spine with the title ‘la vie en rose.’

Some eagle-eyed fans among January’s one million followers noticed that she also had a faint white ink tattoo just above to the side of her new text.

‘What does the other one say, with no ink?’ asked one Instagram user.

‘Bellatrix,’ January replied.

In a 2009 British GQ profile, the actress mentioned that she had gotten the design two years earlier.

‘It says “Bellatrix” — Latin for female warrior,’ she said, before explaining why it was so hard to see on her arm.

‘I had it done in white ink. It’s there, but practically invisible. No one else can see it.’

The Last Man On Earth star revealed that design in 2018, and two years earlier she unveiled a delicate design on her left arm done by Dr. Woo.

The design turned out to be a sweet tribute to her son Xander, nine.

‘It’s my birthdate and his inside,’ she revealed on Late Night With Seth Meyers. ‘So I’m protecting. It’s sweet.’

Her son was also seemingly impressed by his mother’s permanent display of her love.

‘We do fake tattoos on him all the time, and he’s like, “That’s never going to wear off,”‘ she continued. “’He felt very proud that I wanted that.’

The TV star even joked that her mother wanted to get on Dr. Woo’s wait list after seeing the tattoo.

January, who played Don Draper’s wife on AMC’s critically acclaimed drama Mad Men from 2007–2015, has been staying busy throughout the pandemic with a steady stream of sometimes bizarre Instagram content mixed in with stunning thirst traps highlighting her swimwear options.

Although some social media users criticized the displays as a ‘desperate cry for attention,’ she doesn’t seem fazed at all and has even poked fun at the response.

‘S**t. They’ve discovered my secret. Consider this my public apology to my “friends,”‘ she joked after posting a screenshot of an email sent from The National Enquirer.

It tried to get a comment from her about a story being written about her friends supposedly being concerned about her social media displays.
