Yolanda Hadid reflected on the highlight of her year – learning her daughter Gigi was giving birth to a baby girl.
The former model, 56, posted throwback photos of Gigi, 25, and her boyfriend Zayn Malik, 27, revealing the gender of their child with a pink cake.
The beaming parents-to-be presented the sliced cake to the future grandma, who posted pictures of the tender moment to her Instagram account on Monday.

Yolanda wrapped her arms around her expectant daughter and her longtime boyfriend.

Gigi and Zayn welcomed their first child together, a baby girl whose name they have not yet revealed, back in September.

The catwalk queen announced she was expecting in April 2020, and spent her pregnancy on her mother’s Pennsylvania farm with boyfriend Zayn and sister Bella Hadid.
Announcing the arrival of their daughter, British-born Zayn shared on social media: ‘To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
‘The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together.’

Despite the tough ‘transitions’ she has faced, Gigi is said to be ‘elated’ by the birth of her daughter.
‘Gigi is very tired, but is already an amazing mom,’ a source previously told E! News. ‘The first couple of weeks have been a hard transition but she hasn’t complained and is very elated to be a mom.’
The insider said: ‘They feel peaceful staying at [the Hadid farm in Pennsylvania] for now. Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately.’
