Dove Cameron reveals her relationship with Descendants costar Thomas Doherty ended in October: ‘The decision was incredibly difficult’
They met on the set of their 2017 Disney film Descendants 2.
But on Friday, actress Dove Cameron finally confirmed what many fans have suspected for a while regarding her relationship with her costar from that film, Thomas Doherty.
In a tweet sent out Friday evening, Dove, 24, revealed that repair had ‘decided to part ways’ in October.

‘hi all. In October, @thomasadoherty and I decided to part ways,’ Cameron’s tweet read in full.
‘The decision was incredibly difficult, but we still have love for each other, and will remain friends. Thank you for allowing us our privacy in this time.’
She elaborated on the announcement on her Instagram stories, adding a preamble.

‘we know there have been some rumors and confusion lately about the status of our relationship and we wanted to set the record straight,’ Dove wrote, before including the same text as was found in her tweet.
The actress and We Belong singer dated Doherty, 25, for four years.
They were last seen out together in August.

Since, the songstress has been immersed in her burgeoning music career, recently taking to Instagram to thank fans for their support.
As for Doherty, he’s been seen multiple times on the New York City set of HBO Max’s reboot of Gossip Girl.
Before Thomas, Cameron had been linked to Liv And Maddie star Ryan McCartan.
