Australian cricket star Nathan Lyon and his real estate agent partner Emma McCarthy have purchased their first home together.

The off-spinner, 33, and the glamorous blonde, 29, paid an eye-watering $3.8million for a newly-constructed townhouse in the north-west Sydney riverside suburb of Tennyson Point.

The stunning 400 square-metre property has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, three car spaces and was built by Davina Constructions boss David Buono.

Lyon is now the most senior member of the Australian Test team with 96 caps and 390 wickets.

He’s become a stalwart of the side over the past decade and has not missed a match in about seven years.

Prior to his foray into Sydney’s inner city, he lived in the Sutherland Shire with former partner, Mel Waring, and their two children.

The former couple sold their suave Port Hacking home at the beginning of this year for a princely sum of $3,615,000, however it was $200,000 below what they originally paid for it.

Lyon and McCarthy’s relationship began three years ago when they were pictured kissing in the model’s hometown of Perth – signalling the end of the bowler’s relationship with Ms Waring.

Members of the Australian Test team have developed quite a reputation for laying claim to high-end Sydney real estate.

Captain Steve Smith and his wife Dani bought a Vaucluse mansion for $6.6million earlier this year before undertaking a major renovation.

Prior to that the world’s best batsman shelled out $5.3million on three waterfront properties in Balmain.

Smith also owns a three-bedroom penthouse in Sydney’s exclusive eastern suburbs.

Opening batsman David Warner and his Ironwoman wife Candice, are in the midst of building a beachside mansion in Maroubra.

The glamour couple are said to have spent about $5.5 million on real estate investments.

Left arm seamer Mitchell Starc and wife Alyssa Healy – an iconic female cricket star – reside in a $5million property on Sydney’s northern beaches.
