Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez arrive in Miami by private jet after urging people to stay at home

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were seen touching down in Miami Thursday on a private jet, marking their latest traveling outing despite repeated statements to their fans to hunker down amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The celeb supercouple matched in dark ensembles in face masks as they deboarded the aircraft on the wintry day in South Florida.

The 51-year-old beauty donned a long black coat with a Chanel top, black pants and white shoes with her hair pulled back with sunglasses as she made her way off the aircraft.

The three-time baseball MVP, 45, a 14-time All Star on the diamond, carried a tablet as he made his way off the private plane.

The couple, who have been linked since 2017, have racked up their share of frequent flyer miles despite earlier this year urging people to avoid leaving their homes amid the virus.

They have been seen jet-setting through locales including the Hamptons and their native New York City, where they returned from after a busy day Wednesday in which they threw a surprise birthday bash for Lopez’s mother Lupe as she turned 75.

In April, Lopez took to social media asking people to remain in their homes to quell the spread of the pandemic.

‘Hi everyone … The best way to stop the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home,’ the Love Don’t Cost a Thing artist said on Instagram in April. ‘@Arod and #IStayHomeFor those on the front lines – the doctors, nurses and technicians that are working so hard to keep everyone safe.

‘Thank you @NYGovCuomo for tagging us. We nominate @jimmyfallon to go next and tell us who you’re staying home for. #NewYorkTough #StopTheSpread.’

Rodriguez raised eyebrows last month when he asked fans what their Thanksgiving plans were, getting blowback from users who said the question was tone deaf.

‘I think everything is just going to be smaller. With COVID, everything is a little different,’ he told the outlet. ‘Good company, family, good food, a little wine [ that always helps. Just being together with the family, really that’s all that matters.’

The retired slugger noted that he and Lopez are ‘always with the four kids’ – twins Max and Emme, 12, and his daughters Natasha, 16, and Ella, 12.

Rodriguez added: ‘That’s number one: We like to play games – we like chess, we like Monopolys – and we like to play softball. The one thing we’ve been doing the last several years is playing a family softball game, and that’s always fun, because Jennifer is the master of trash talk.’

He said that ‘the one good thing that’s come out of this is more family time and get a chance to not travel and kind of be in one place and bring some of your more stability for a family.’

He said that he’s anticipating ‘a vaccine to get things back to normal,’ as ‘there’s so much that [he’s] looking forward to’ as restrictions are relaxed once the virus is under control.

‘I’m looking forward to just going out and back to stadiums, where I announce games; interacting with players; taking my family to Disney World, Disneyland, even like going outside and sitting out in an outdoor table in New York and having a nice meal with friends and family. Those are some of the things I miss.’
