Gogglebox’s Sarah and Matty throw birthday party for son Malik

Gogglebox Australia stars Sarah Marie and Matty Fahd managed to throw a lavish birthday party for their son Malik despite COVID restrictions.

The couple created a jungle-themed safari bash for Malik’s first birthday, and also made it a joint celebration for their bulldog Bane, who turned three.

Matty shared a sweet tribute to Sarah and Malik on Instagram on Thursday. 

‘A belated thank you to my love @sarahmariefahd who didn’t let 20 people [and] covid restrictions dampen her motivation to put on the best birthday party she could for our boys,’ he wrote.

‘Malik and Bane’s jungle safari was quite the little party,’ he concluded.

Last month, Sarah shared her own post about Malik’s turning one.

‘How are you already 1 years old!’ she wrote alongside a photo of her beloved baby boy.

‘Time has flown faster than I care to admit. You make me so proud to be your mother and I wish you all the happiness in the world my beautiful baby boy Malik,’ she continued.

‘A BIG happy first birthday and let’s also not forget his BFF @bane_tha_bully who shares his birthday with Malik and is turning 3! Happy birthday Malik and Bane xoxoxo.’

The most recent season of Gogglebox Australia was a huge hit in the ratings, with viewership seemingly increasing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The series regularly reached between 600,000 and 700,000 viewers on Channel 10 alone, with numbers climbing even higher when the viewers from the Foxtel showing of the series are factored in.

Not only was Gogglebox often the biggest entertainment program on the night that it aired, it also easily defeated The Bachelorette in the ratings too.
