Former Voice judge Delta Goodrem confirmed this week she was staying at Channel Nine, after rival network Seven snapped up the rights to competitive singing show.

And on Thursday, the 36-year-old cemented her status with Nine by proudly promoting her upcoming TV special, Christmas with Delta, on A Current Affair.

‘I am really hoping to bring a lot of love through this music and this Christmas special,’ she told ACA host Leila McKinnon.

Delta will perform a slew of festive hits with her band – which includes her boyfriend, Matthew Copley, on guitar.

The one-hour special will also feature special appearances from Kylie Minogue in London and Olivia Newton John in California.

Over the past few months, Delta and her boyfriend have been streaming intimate performances online during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Born to Try songstress revealed it was ‘so special’ to be back on a stage following months of their ‘bunker-down sessions’.

‘I saw the set [of the Christmas special] and I really feel like it is a dream come true to get to do this, I am very grateful,’ she said.

She will be giving back to families who’ve been impacted by the drought, bushfires and pandemic this year, with the help of Tourism Australia.

‘I feel like one of Santa’s elves which I am very excited about, there are some beautiful stories,’ she added.

Delta’s Christmas special comes after she all but confirmed her departure from The Voice Australia earlier this week.

On Monday, she revealed on Instagram that she would be staying with Nine to launch her own TV production company, Atled Productions.

Meanwhile, the popular singing show will air on Channel Seven next year, after the rival network acquired the rights in August.

Christmas with Delta will air December 12 at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
