‘[Hearing loss] is a relationship problem. It was starting to throw sandpaper between my relationship, between me and [Audrey’s daughter] Georgia,’ Osher told the publication.

He said that while he could hear the words that people were saying he would often miss out of the nuances.

‘It starts to make you quite isolated in a relationship and it was tough, you know? It was really tough. Not being able to actually connect with somebody because, you can come home from work and they can say, ‘Fine’,’ he added.

‘I might hear the word ‘fine’ but I might not hear the nuances and how you actually say it.’

‘There will be something in your voice, a lilt, an upward inflection. Just something that will tell me it wasn’t fine.’

‘I have old man hearing aids, the ones that go over the back of your ear and I say ‘Who? What? Hang on,’ and then I have to turn them up,’ he explained.

His co-hosts then asked: ‘Do you wear them when you’re on The Bachelor?,’ to which he responded: ‘No because when I’m on the Bachelor, I have an ear piece so I can hear everybody.’

‘So you just can’t hear the girls when they’re talking to you?’ asked Abby Coleman.

Osher jokingly said: ‘Nope, and it’s great!’
