A man who spent £15,000 on four life-size elf dolls has insisted his figurines provide him comfort ‘like a teddy bear’.

Nick Rawet, from Birmingham, lives with four elf-inspired dolls he regularly dresses, makes accessories for and creates make-up looks for after being inspired by the Lord of the Rings franchise.

Appearing on This Morning today, Nick insisted that their relationship is in no way sexual, and he simply ‘cuddles’ the ‘realistic’ dolls which are a great way of ‘keeping warm on a winter’s day’.

Ted says he couldn’t possibly pick a favourite, but has suggested to Ann Summer’s that one of his dolls, Saoirse, should be used in the lingerie brand’s Christmas campaign to raise money for charity.

Revealing the identities of his dolls, Nick said: ‘Starting from my left, that is Foreshe she’s a forest elf, this is Eshe, she’s a dark elf this is Cavina, the queen elf and the end one is Saoirse, she’s a silver warrior elf.’

When asked about the nature of his relationship with the dolls, Nick told: ‘I have them there to cuddle, that’s it.

‘I don’t cuddle Saoirse at the moment, she’s wearing a full suit of armour. ‘

Nick, who insisted he ‘couldn’t dare’ choose a favourite out of his dolls, went on to explain that the figurines provide ‘comfort’ in the same way a cuddly toy or hot water bottle would.

‘It’s a comfort thing, said Nick, ‘It’s like having a teddy bear, but they’re a bit more realistic and once they have been warmed up they’re like a hot water bottle.

‘They stay warm for hours, in the past i’ve come home from work on a winters day and jumped into bed and they’re still nice and warm.’

Nick is such a fan of his dolls he even suggested one be used in the Anne Summer’s Christmas advertising campaign.

‘I thought for Christmas they could have Cavina in one of their stores’, said Nick, And then perhaps they could have a bit of a charity collection as a sort of an idea to get money in.’
