The pet owner, living in eastern China’s Huzhou city, had left Tutu at his parents’ shop before going out to run some errands on Tuesday.

The Beagle is said to have kicked his food bowl onto the street while he was playing outside the store, Mr Li said.

When the owner was parking his car after returning, he accidentally ran over and squashed the metal container behind the vehicle.

Mr Li soon realised what had happened as he found Tutu looking extremely sad while standing next to the food bowl flattened to the ground.

Amused by the dog’s adorable expression, the man captured it on camera and shared the photos on his private social media page.
