The world is already gearing up for 2021 after what has been an incredibly fraught year due to the pandemic.

On Tuesday it was announced that Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021 would be adding a handful of familiar faces to ring in the new year at the annual ball drop.

Billy Porter and Lucy Hale will be joining Seacrest in Times Square, and Ciara will be hosting live from Los Angeles for an event that will be closed to the public for broadcast.

‘2020 has been a trying year for the world and I’m thrilled to have Billy and Lucy join me in ushering in a new year with fresh beginnings,’ said Seacrest in a press release.

‘We look forward to making sure it’s a night for everyone to remember,’ he continued, ahead of his 16th year hosting the show.

Porter hosted from New Orleans last year, with Hale joining Seacrest in Times Square for the first time in 2020 as a new co-host. 2021 will make the fourth time Ciara has hosted the celebration from Los Angeles.

This year marks the 49th year of the most watched New Year’s Eve celebration and will feature more than five hours of performances and will kick off at 8PM ET until 2AM ET.

Additionally, country artist Jessie James Decker will make her return as Powerball correspondent for the second time.

She will be checking in with five randomly selected finalists from across the country before announcing the ‘Powerball First Millionaire of the Year,’ shortly after midnight.
